How to Install CPR Decals | Step-by-Step Guide
Installation Guide – Frosted Glass CPR Decal
Items Required
-
Clean rag
-
Masking tape (supplied)
-
Soapy water (ideally in a spray bottle)
-
Supplied squeegee
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Glass
Thoroughly clean the glass surface with warm soapy water or an alcohol-based cleaner. Remove all dust, grease, and contaminants. Dry the surface completely before continuing.
2. Position and Secure with Masking Tape
Place the decal in the desired location. Apply a strip of masking tape across the top edge, fixing it to both the glass and the decal. This tape acts as a hinge to keep the decal aligned.
3. Peel Back the Backing Paper
Lift the decal upwards using the tape hinge. Peel back a small corner of the backing paper to expose the adhesive. Avoid touching the adhesive with your fingers.
4. Spray Soapy Water on the Glass
Mist the glass where the decal will be applied with a light spray of soapy water. This allows for easy adjustments and helps prevent air bubbles.
5. Apply the Decal
Slowly peel off the rest of the backing paper while holding the decal up. If needed, spray the adhesive side lightly with soapy water. Lay the decal down carefully onto the wet glass, keeping it level.
6. Mist the Front Surface
Lightly spray the front of the decal with soapy water. This reduces friction and protects the surface when using the squeegee.
7. Squeegee Out the Water
Wrap a clean rag around the supplied squeegee. Starting at the top, push water downward and outward in overlapping strokes. Once you are about a quarter down, gently pull the bottom outward to remove ripples.
8. Remove Remaining Water and Bubbles
Do not try to force all the water out at once. Gradually increase squeegee pressure to push out remaining moisture and bubbles. Check the reverse side of the glass to confirm no water pockets remain.
9. Remove Masking Tape and Finish
Once the decal is mostly adhered, carefully remove the masking tape. Peel the tape back on an angle to ensure the decal does not lift. Finish with a final squeegee pass for a smooth, bubble-free finish.
Key Tips
-
Always start with a clean, dry surface.
-
Work slowly and progressively — don’t rush.
-
Increase squeegee pressure gradually to avoid ripples.
-
Inspect from the back of the glass for trapped bubbles or water.

Why Use Soapy Water?
The soapy water method allows repositioning before full adhesion, prevents air bubbles and wrinkles, and makes squeegeeing smoother while protecting the decal surface.
