How to Install CPR Decals | Step-by-Step Guide

Items Required:
✔ Clean rag
✔ Masking tape (supplied)
✔ Soapy water (ideally in a spray bottle)
✔ Supplied squeegee

Step-by-Step Installation Guide:

1️⃣ Prepare the Surface

Thoroughly clean and dry the surface where the decal will be applied.
Use warm soapy water or an alcohol-based cleaner to remove any dust, grease, or contaminants.
Ensure the glass is completely dry before proceeding.

2️⃣ Secure the Decal with Masking Tape

Position the decal on the glass in its desired location.
Apply a strip of masking tape across the top edge, securing it firmly to both the glass and the decal.
The masking tape will act as a hinge, ensuring the decal stays aligned and does not slip.

3️⃣ Peel Back the Backing Paper

Lift the decal upward using the masking tape hinge.
Carefully peel back a small corner of the backing paper to expose the adhesive.
Try not to touch the adhesive, as oils from your fingers can affect adhesion.

4️⃣ Apply Soapy Water to the Glass

While holding the decal up, spray the glass where the decal will be applied with a light mist of soapy water.
This step allows adjustments before the decal fully adheres, helping prevent air bubbles.

5️⃣ Remove the Backing Paper & Apply the Decal

Slowly peel off the remaining backing paper, ensuring the masking tape remains in place.
If needed, apply additional soapy water to the adhesive side of the decal for easier positioning.
Carefully lay the decal down onto the wet glass, ensuring it remains level.

6️⃣ Lightly Spray the Front of the Decal

Once positioned, lightly mist the front of the decal with soapy water.
This step reduces friction when using the squeegee, preventing scratches.

7️⃣ Squeegee Out the Soapy Water

Wrap a clean rag around the supplied squeegee to prevent scratches.
Start from the top, pushing the soapy water out in a downward motion, moving side to side.
Once you're about a quarter of the way down, gently pull the bottom outward to remove ripples and ensure a smooth application.

8️⃣ Remove Remaining Water & Bubbles

Do not try to push all the water out in one pass, as this can cause ripples.
Once most of the soapy water has been removed, gradually increase pressure to push out any remaining moisture.
Check from the back side of the glass to ensure no water bubbles remain.

9️⃣ Remove the Masking Tape & Final Touches

Once the bottom three-quarters of the decal is securely adhered to the glass, carefully remove the masking tape.
Peel the tape up and away from the corner, ensuring the decal remains in place.
Finish by squeegeeing out any remaining water to create a perfect, bubble-free application.
